Justin Wack Beta Testing

Some common questions and answers

πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ Why run the beta in the browser?
It’s just super helpful to know that everyone uses the latest version as updates are released, and it removes the hassle of having to do builds for different platforms.

πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ Which browsers are supported?
PC: Edge, Chrome and Firefox – probably works fine on others too.
Mac: Anything but Safari πŸ™‚
Linux: Hmm, try Chrome (while softly stroking your long beard)

πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ Is it a closed beta?
Yes, (thus the password), but if you want to invite someone else to be a tester – please have them send me (Pontus Wittenmark) a PM on the Warm Kitten Discord.

πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ Will my saved games be persisted?
Yes, if you login to the Trail website – your saved games will be synced across browsers and devices.

If you choose not to log in, things become a lot trickier – saved games MIGHT still be persisted on that specific browser (on that machine). It all depends on the browser, its settings, and the current constellation of the moon.

πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ I have already beta-tested earlier acts – can I fast-forward to the new one?
Yes, you’ll find instructions in the “Beta Stuff” menu. Keep in mind though, that changes have been made to what you already tested (plus you probably won’t have everything fresh in your mind), so if you have the time – please try the whole dang thing πŸ™‚

Note: If you have old saved games from a previous beta – best not to load them as they will not be compatible with the new release πŸ™‚
